For todays session we were asked to bring in five objects which had sentimental value.
It didnt take me very long to pick my objects, as i have a few items which are very personal and mean alot to me. The first was a 'memory book' my younger sister had made me for my 21st birthday. It included family photos and special moments from throughout my life. She had also written little captions underneath each picture. It is very special to me as im really close to my sister and shes not a very emotional person, so doesnt show how she feels very often. So this book that she made, showed me how much she lovesand cares for me.
The second and third were dance related, one a picture from my first professional pantomine 'Peter Pan' and the other a leotard which was part of a costume from my first show as part of a professional group called 'Divalushious'. The fourth item was a teddy my boyfriend had bought me on our first valentines together. It means alot to me as i lived away from him for a year and it brought me comfort when i got homesick. My last object was a stack of russian dolls my grandparents brought me back from holiday as a child.
We got in groups and then discussed our objects.
