Today's session focussed on metaphors. Firstly we discussed what a metaphor was and how they were used in advertising as an important tool to push the message across further.
A Metaphor is when you use one noun to describe another, it is effective as it paints a clear picture and gets the message across. Metaphors are used alot in advertising and in song lyrics. Our first taske was to think of songs which used Metaphors. For example Katy Perry's song Firework has 'Baby your a firework'.
We were then given advertising campaigns with strong metaphors in them. We thought these were effective as the images were very strong and the message came across clear.
